That Weird One

Just a quick update of an old outfit. I was extremely comfortable in this outfit and have to admit that it's become one of my favorites! I felt like it was versatile enough to where I could either rock out or curl into myself on the couch with a cup of tea.

Let's Chill With Bob

Feeding a new friend at the park. I call him Bob. Bob's other friends and family swarmed once they saw bread, I basically ran after this picture.

Some of the best beauty advice I've ever learned. Inner beauty always shines through.

Fill In the Blanks

Just a casual outfit I wore during the week. It was a bit chilly, though I wash't complaining. I love wearing sweaters! I wore a lot of new purchases in this outfit. The earrings and vintage scarf I purchased in Austin. The shoes and backpack I purchased at First Friday in San Antonio. I was quite happy with how everything looked together! Especially with the slight pop of color form my nails!

Boa Constrictor

During Spring Break I had spent a bit of my time in Austin with friends. During my time there we, of course, went shopping. I happened to come across this necklace in the Gypsy StreetWear Boutique and instantly fell in love with it. I loved the size and the design and just couldn't possibly walk away from this piece!

All my friends kept saying the design on my necklace looked like a snake, I hadn't noticed until everyone started pointing out.

I was beyond excited to wear this necklace when I went back to school with this recently purchased thrifted blouse.

Birthday Wishes

It was really cloudy on my Birthday but I was okay with the weather. It didn't ruin my mood!

Yesterday was my 18th birthday! I'm excited about reaching this new stage in my life (as an adult). Despite my new “grown up” status I understand I have a lot to learn about and am still naïve in different areas. Still, I'm excited to have the opportunity to learn and understand things better and to continue to grow!

Making Mirrors

I love the collar on this shirt!

My most favorite thing about fashion has to be the amount of imagination that I can incorporate into it. Each outfit means something to me, and inspiration comes from just about everywhere. I find myself being inspired by music, movies, books, art, people, situations, and even dreams. In general there is so much effort that people put into their outfits, and many stories that they can tell. I like to dress myself based on my inspiration, based on what I'm feeling, and based on where I want or would like to go. It's what attracted me to fashion in the first place. And it is also what keeps me dedicated to it.

Kisses from Roses and Teddy Bears

I have always been infatuated with lipstick. However, there's so many different shades, and so many different brands. It can be a little overwhelming when I'm searching for a new color(though that's the story for almost everything that deals with make-up). I find a nice shade of pink or red or even plum to never let me down. Truth be told, I hardly wear any other colors.
There are so many ways one can wear make-up and transform themselves. Though I don't usually stray to far from the basics when it comes to make-up, I believe make-up should emphasize your natural beauty. Not cover it up.
With this in mind I must also state that there isn't anything wrong with eyeshadow, blush, or anything of that sort. As long as it's done in good taste, why not? Lipstick, to me, finishes a look and is my go to item.
What's your go to item?

Steps

Thanks to schoolwork I've been pretty busy. Took some quick pictures during the middle of the week once I found some time.

Glittering Gold and Mermaid Blue

I think that people to often forget about the magic of nail polish. Just like earrings, scarves, and (yes I dare say) to some extent shoes it has the ability to transform an outfit. Nail polish allows for a gal to skimp on the earrings and accessories. It's the accessory often overlooked.

When concerning my own preferences I find that I'm not one to usually indulge in patterns or pictures on my nails, but I love a beautiful color. Something that really contrasts with an outfit or skin tone is always eye catching. Of course, this is just me. I've seen lovely designs on nails that make me second guess this preference.

I must admit, however, that keeping nail polish on one's nails' chip free is a whole other story. I find a second coat of clear nail polish always helpful. At the moment I'm really liking this blue nail polish I'm wearing. I might stick with it for awhile.
