Time

I absolutely love my new earrings that I purchased from Santa Fe jewelry store :)!
A blurry picture of my order from Rainforest cafe off of the Riverwalk. It was super yummy!

I'm truly sorry for the lack of updates lately. School and life has been crazy. Thankfully, things should slow down. :)
Here are a couple of pictures from this weekend on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, hope you enjoy them!

Let's Chill With Bob

Feeding a new friend at the park. I call him Bob. Bob's other friends and family swarmed once they saw bread, I basically ran after this picture.

Love this Peace

One of my favorite dresses! For some reason it reminds me of something that belongs in the movie "Clueless".
I don't know why but I love this pic of my leg.

Boa Constrictor

During Spring Break I had spent a bit of my time in Austin with friends. During my time there we, of course, went shopping. I happened to come across this necklace in the Gypsy StreetWear Boutique and instantly fell in love with it. I loved the size and the design and just couldn't possibly walk away from this piece!

All my friends kept saying the design on my necklace looked like a snake, I hadn't noticed until everyone started pointing out.

I was beyond excited to wear this necklace when I went back to school with this recently purchased thrifted blouse.

Birthday Wishes

It was really cloudy on my Birthday but I was okay with the weather. It didn't ruin my mood!

Yesterday was my 18th birthday! I'm excited about reaching this new stage in my life (as an adult). Despite my new “grown up” status I understand I have a lot to learn about and am still naïve in different areas. Still, I'm excited to have the opportunity to learn and understand things better and to continue to grow!

Brown Eyed Girl

At times it's easy to find something beautiful for what it is. Earrings, shoes, and lovely dresses are great examples of this. You see it on someone or even yourself and think, “Hm, this looks great.” This feeling is magnified when you take something already great and use it in a different way.

I've used belts for bracelets, scarves for belts, earrings as pins, and so much more. In this outfit I used a sash from one of my mom's dresses as a bow tie. I fell in love with the color and the material. I'm unfortunately too small for the dress but was ecstatic I could wear something from it.

Maybe Here, Maybe There

Defiantly had fun doing my hair yesterday. If only I could remember how I did this!

I was unable to upload this post yesterday, deepest apologies! I was auditioning for something at my school and was drained by the time I made it home.
After taking these pictures I had unfortunately fallen asleep while uploading them!

Well, yesterday it was rainy and ridiculously humid, I decided to do a fun updo. For the unpredictable weather (that kept going back and forth from warm to cool) I wore this thrifted jacket I had recently purchased. I loved the feel of it, it reminded me of a basket.

I took a quick picture of the sky, I thought the clouds looked beautiful!

We Remain

When pressed for time a basic will never let you down. Basics, as I stated before, are an investment. If treated right, they'll last forever and never go out of style compared to the seasonal trends that come and go.
The wonderful things about basics is that you don't have to spend a lot of money. Just time is required. I got this button down while thrifting with friends on Friday. I can't express how much I love it! I can already imagine the days when I'm left clueless on what to wear and finding this shirt to save the day. I can't state this enough, basics are a great investment.

Days Like This

I love occasions that call for dressing up. I spent my Valentine's day in this dress my mother had purchased for me from Francesca's Collection. I had spent the day gliding through halls without a care in the world.
Of course I was a bit overdress. I, however, hardly took that into account. Some outfits are meant to be worn all day. If it looks and feels good I don't see why an individual can't do so.
It's always better to be overdressed than underdressed in my opinion. Fashion is meant for expressing one's self and having fun!

I loved this outfit so much that I admittedly wore this dress twice this month (both pictures uploaded here) with the only difference in nail color and a few added rings.

Cutting and Changing

Recently I felt the need for a change in appearance. Consequently, I cut my hair. I will be honest and add that I feel a bit odd without my accustomed length of hair. Still, I do not regret my decision. With so many changes in life as a senior in high school, it can be overwhelming. I'm learning so many new things. Looking at life with a bit more understanding than before. With college around the corner and many changes in my personal life-I can't quite see things in the same light.
I can't quite look at myself the same way either. I've changed and have grown up into a person that's very different, and in a good way. With so much going on I decided that I wanted to change my look. This haircut is the result. I defiantly love it!

Like A Tea Tray in the Sky

"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat
How I wonder what you're at
Up above the world you fly
Like a tea tray in the sky"

Today I wore a very laid back outfit. I’ve also straightened my hair (love doing the messy hair look whenever I do straighten my own hair as you may have noticed). It was sort of spur of the moment but I liked the finished product.

Don’t ask me how but my outfit was inspired by the song “Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat” from Alice in Wonderland. Being inspired never has to make sense, I can't even use words.

Summer Solstice

Thanks to the summer solstice, yesterday was the official first day of summer. All over the world various people celebrated this day in a multitude of way. Some were at the beach with a bonfire, some were dancing, and some were with family and friends with delicious dishes steaming at hand. Did you do anything special on the summer solstice?

Double Denim

I find that I’m not too big of a fan of wearing double denim with similar colors, thus my lack of wearing such. So when I found this white denim jacket hidden within the thrift store with its lovely cream design and perfect fit, I knew that it must be destiny for me to start wearing double denim. Some things I just can’t help myself from purchasing, and this jacket was one of them.

I chose to wear my white denim jacket with one of my favorite old Charlotte Russe jeans. I love this pair because it has its own sort of flare with some of the paint that’s managed to get on the material from some of my art projects. I find that the purple paint adds personality to it. Don’t you just love bonding with clothes?
