Curls

I’ve wanted to wear this maxi skirt since forever! I just love the feel and flow of the material! Unfortunately, I’ve had a bit of a problem in deciding what top I should wear with it. That is, until just recently. Last night I came up with the idea to use my mom’s scarf as a top! I think it turned out pretty well! The bracelet is one of my belts that I wrapped around my wrist a couple of times. It’s one of my newest favorite accessories. Please comment and tell me what you think!

Oh, and concerning my hair I’ve decided to stick with my curls for awhile. Sure, straight hair is great from time to time but I always go back to my curly hair. I feel like it defines me.

What I Wore:

Icora purple wedges, Ann Taylor sheer black skirt, White reversible Merona belt as a bracelet

The Schoolgirl Minus the School

With all these tests and major projects at my school lately I sort of feel worn out (okay so sort of worn out is putting it delicately). However the thought of summer has been keeping my spirits up so I tend to not dwell on such thoughts. Can’t WAIT for summer!

My inspiration for today’s outfit was the school girl outside of school.

What I wore:
Forever21 pink top, Urban Outfitters black skirt, Apache Indian faux pearl earrings

As Sweet As a Lime

I happened to spot this sheer lime green blouse when I went shopping not to long ago and it was love at first sight! Sure, it’s not something I would typically buy seeing as how I’m usually not one for bright colored tops...but I just couldn’t resist!

What I wore:
Moda Spana black heels, borrowed black high waisted dress pants, Sheer lime green Axcess blouse

Summer Wishes and "I'm taller than you" Misses

Love this giraffe brooch!

This whole week, no slash that, month has been completely hectic. Between all the big tests, the projects, and of course the homework has left me more than drained. Oh, how I wish that the summer were the present! Unfortunately, I still got some time left in school.

Don’t get me wrong, I love school. I love getting a good grade. I love feeling like I totally owned a test that I thought I would have bombed. I love writing in class, and above all, I love that sense of accomplishment at the end of each year with an A or B in a class.

Yet, I also love when I’m on a break from school. Relaxation, that’s what it’s all about. Can’t wait for summer!

Well, other than that, I have to say my week was great! I had the good fortune of getting a new pair of black heels (a replacement for my favorite winter boots—oh, how I miss them!), and I have to admit that I love them! Heels always make me feel best when I walk through my day (well a good pair anyways!). With the high waisted pants and heels, I got a lot of comments, mainly around the terms of “Did you get taller Jazz”. Those comments kept me laughing all day, seeing as how I don’t even reach five feet without them!

What I wore:
Urban outfitters striped top, thrift high wasted pants, Moda spana black heels, borrowed giraffe broach and earrings

Twas the Night Before Exams

Twas the night before exams, not a student in sight, that was not exhausted, stressed, or frustrated alright. The exams had arrived, as they all had feared, with a pen and their study guides they dressed themselves clear. “We aren’t ready”, each proclaimed. “Need more time”, was their complaint. Yet the truth of the matter, was that we all were ready for this date. Sleepless nights, unsightly bags, interrupted dreams, hunch backs, rushed homework, breakfast to go, quick outfits, runny nose, heavy eyes, parched throats, sore limbs from the coach, stuffed bags, whiny moans, stretched arms, scrunched toes, religious clock watch, minute hand, second dial, sand man, dreading plea, notes, and shrieks, “It’s too hard for me”.
We’ve waited for this day. We’ve ran ourselves down. We’ve worked and we’ve tried. Doubted then found. We can do this. It’s our year! To fight and it is clear, we are juniors and that so called fear? Is nothing compared to~ our Confidence.

A little something I thought up. I have some big tests coming up so this little number came to mind. Hope you like it! I wish the best of luck to everyone that has exams coming up! All of our work will pay off ;D!

Oh and by the way, sorry for looking so tired in this picture, I've been up since two this morning :).

What I wore:
Brown Target watch, Several other bracelets that also include a bracelet that I got from an Apache Indian Reservation (love it!), an old white Aeropostale tank, high wasted denim skirt (borrowed from mom), and thrift black lace vest

Basically a very causal day when concerning my outfit

Lean Colored Cold Front

The weather suddenly changed this week into something cold and dreary making it seem more like mid fall was approaching compared to the coming summer. Yet I, however, didn’t mind this in the least. I’ve always had a thing for cold dreary days. Don’t get me wrong, I love the feeling of warm windy days as well, actually it’s one of my most favorite things in the world.

But cold days will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s something about bundling up in layers (I love piling one garment of clothing over another), about drinking something warm and feeling the steaming liquid travel down my throat and warm the rest of me, about staying inside and reading a book or watching a really good movie, about the smell of heat coursing through my home, and about the quick wisps of chilly wind that make such days so magical.

And so I gladly dressed for the occasion. All day I felt so happy about the strange cold front that unexpectedly greeted me the beginning of my week. What a great surprise it was :).

What I wore:
Black Franco Fortini Boots, Black Kensie vests, Black Faux Leather skirt, Grey Melrose Long sleeve Shirt, Gold and Orange Express Necklace
