Bloom

J. London Petite high waisted pants, Maggie Barnes top, Nine West Heels

Its fall and I feel like I’m in summer. At first, I will admit that I wasn’t exactly thrilled with the lack of cool temperature (especially with my favorite long sleeve shirts, boots, sweaters, scarves, and jackets tempting me). But there are definitely some perks. Wearing this outfit was one of them.

I love this outfit! The colors made me feel extremely feminine despite the fact I was indulging myself in the men’s wear trend. Hands down this outfit is one of my favorites!

It’s gotten hot again where I live. Honestly, I was slightly cooking in this outfit! I can’t wait for the cool weather to come back! So much for me pulling out my fall clothes, huh?! :)

Tough Worker

Shelplers necklace, Charlotte ruse jacket, Grip Tank, Rangoni Firenze shoes

Something about working hard has always been enjoyable to me. I like to put my all into things, and I love trying to excel in whatever challenge that is presented to me. I think that is one of the core reasons why I’m taking extra honor classes at my school.

It’s tough work keeping up with all of them, but I can’t say that I regret my decision in putting the load on my shoulders. I like the challenge, and to be quite frank, I like learning in subjects that interest me.

Of course I would be lying if I didn’t say I haven’t noticed the strain of the extra classes. But I enjoy the work, the self satisfaction of accomplishing something, and learning things that interest me.

Personally, I don’t see why I can’t take extra classes that interest me and indulge in personal activities (such as my blog) at the same time. I don’t like to limit myself. It’s not easy by any means, but I like to believe that I can overcome any challenge.

After all, I’m a tough worker.

Forgotten Lioness

Thrifted pants and sweater and heels, Claires earrings, Borrowed watch

I had completely forgotten about these pictures! I just found them and it brought back some memories. These pictures were taken at my mom’s friend’s house. It was wonderful. I loved the trees, the fresh air, and the sun.
I couldn’t help myself from climbing a few of them (of course I took my heels off, no need to break my ankle in the process!). I seriously just wanted to stay in the tree the entire visit, but I eventually got down. It was a wonderful visit and I had so much fun!

Relaxing Near the Sun

Icora wedges, Black bandeau, Sheer floral Thrift top, Thrift Jeans, White Merona reversible belt as a bracelet

Lately it’s been ridiculously hot outside. I find it sort of annoying sometimes (especially when all I have to do is walk to my mailbox and back to my front door to break a sweat). Yet, I also find that there is a subtle beauty to the warmth on the average summer day.
I like it when I’m in the shade at the hottest time of the day and I can still feel the warmth around me. It’s great to just relax near the sun. I’m going to miss days like this when school starts.

Summer

Floral Charlotte Russe dress, White Nine West heels

I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but these heels are my favorite! I tend to wear them a lot.

My summer vacation, unfortunately, is nearing its end. Soon I’ll have to worry about dress code when I get ready in the morning for school and morning humidity for my hair! Even so, I found that this summer has been enjoyable despite the fact that it has gone so quickly (I feel like it just started!). I’m trying to make the most out of each moment that I have left of my vacation and have as much fun as possible!

I also hope everyone is having a great Summer so far!

Art and Nature

Nature's Healer

Poppy

Revive

Swarm

The Discovery

The reason why I have decided to post artwork on my blog is because I find art to be interesting and a wonderful form of expression.

So, as promised, this is the beginning of me posting art. These particular pieces were created by Carne Griffiths.

I love Carne’s work because each piece is so magical and touching. I personally applaud him on how he linked people with nature. I feel like most people forget about us even being apart of nature when in the end, it’s all around us and we affect one another more than any of us care to admit.

His artwork is like a surreal truth. I love artwork that makes me think! Check out his other pieces if you’re interested!

A Note of Casual Elegance

Thrifted knit dress, Lei shoes, heart charm bracelet, inherited diamond earrings

I have decided that I will start putting artwork on my blog. So please do not be surprised when I start posting various pieces of art in the near future!

As for this outfit that I wore yesterday, I had found it to be something more fitting for the beach or somewhere relaxing and casual. The dress itself is casual and simple, the design, material, and even pattern is nothing flashy. However, I love this dress because it has a subtle elegance to it.

The only thing that I find difficult about this dress is trying not to overdo the accessorizing. Seeing as how I am so petite and the dress itself is so expressive and long-it’s easy to get carried away. My hair, on this day, was put up so that my massive curls wouldn’t take away from the garment. I wore my grandmother’s earrings that I inherited along with a bracelet that I received as a gift.

Like A Tea Tray in the Sky

"Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Bat
How I wonder what you're at
Up above the world you fly
Like a tea tray in the sky"

Today I wore a very laid back outfit. I’ve also straightened my hair (love doing the messy hair look whenever I do straighten my own hair as you may have noticed). It was sort of spur of the moment but I liked the finished product.

Don’t ask me how but my outfit was inspired by the song “Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat” from Alice in Wonderland. Being inspired never has to make sense, I can't even use words.

What I wore: Moda Spana black heels, Thrift white button down, Thrift black dress pants

Summer Solstice

Thanks to the summer solstice, yesterday was the official first day of summer. All over the world various people celebrated this day in a multitude of way. Some were at the beach with a bonfire, some were dancing, and some were with family and friends with delicious dishes steaming at hand. Did you do anything special on the summer solstice?

Double Denim

I find that I’m not too big of a fan of wearing double denim with similar colors, thus my lack of wearing such. So when I found this white denim jacket hidden within the thrift store with its lovely cream design and perfect fit, I knew that it must be destiny for me to start wearing double denim. Some things I just can’t help myself from purchasing, and this jacket was one of them.

I chose to wear my white denim jacket with one of my favorite old Charlotte Russe jeans. I love this pair because it has its own sort of flare with some of the paint that’s managed to get on the material from some of my art projects. I find that the purple paint adds personality to it. Don’t you just love bonding with clothes?

Vogue

Imagine, if only for a moment, the most delicate mouthwatering cake on Earth is before you. A slice has been kindly cut and is now within a few tantalizing inches from your fingertips.

The delicacy is yours for the taking. Yet, you stand mesmerized, totally captivated, paralyzed and unable to take that first bite. Instead, you stare in awe at the divine moist rich slice with your heart pounding as you begin a most compelling inspection of the various layers that make the slice whole. You notice the glossy icing, the beckoning cream in between each layer, and finally the artistic value.

Then, that first bite is taken…a taste of heaven frolics within your mouth and plunges into somersaults as finally, yes finally, the first of many exquisite portions glides down your throat.

This is the Vogue experience.

Vogue is unlike any other fashion magazine. Despite the multitude of magazines gracing the shelves in the stores across the globe, Vogue is peerless. More often than not, Vogue is deemed as the Fashion Bible.

Yet, Vogue is more than just a fashion magazine. Vogue is a layered magazine about life, about culture, about art, about enlightenment, and even about truth along with fashion. Vogue is a published worldwide fashion magazine version of the perfect and irresistible cake that brings us to our knees. It’s delicate, rich, divine, layered, artistic and above all-at your fingertips.

This is Vogue.

I Come In Peace

Evidence of a celestial being~

Yes yes this is me, I'm not lying!

This is what happens after I get inspired! After I watched the newest “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie I couldn’t stop thinking about doing this! Sure I look more alien than pirate or mermaid but it turned out all right in my opinion.

I sort of did the lighting and colors different in all the pictures because I felt differently while looking at each picture. In all of them I’m super pale because I’m naturally super tan and I find that being pale for once was a BIG change and I also felt that with all the colors it sort of had a big contrast and made me look sort of out of this world.

I used Covergirl eyeshadows all over my face and used the basic computer editing software Windows Live Photo Gallery thingy (sorry my brain is blah right now). For the border I just used paint. Please comment and tell me what you think if you can!

Evening at the Park

It’s finally summer!!! {Insert theme music here<3}

And I’m loving every moment of it.

I’ve seriously pledged to myself to spend more time outdoors this summer (sorry computer) and get some good ole fresh air. While I was at the park with my family the other day I took some time out to take some pictures. Hope you like them!
